About the Spiritual Life Center
The Spiritual Life Center, established in 1982, is an inter-faith non-profit organization dedicated to enriching the lives of individuals in search of greater meaning and purpose. Over the years, we have remained steadfast in our mission and have evolved from a local entity into a nationally respected organization. Our unwavering commitment revolves around the vision of a world where people are spiritually awakened and actively engaged. Our primary focus is to offer support, primarily through the practice of spiritual companioning, to those seeking a deeper spiritual existence. We extend a warm welcome to everyone, regardless of the path you are on, you are welcome here.
At the heart of our offerings lies a discernment and training program for individuals interested in becoming spiritual companions. While this program serves as a cornerstone, we also provide a diverse range of programs designed to cater to your unique place in your spiritual journey.

Our Campus
The Spiritual Life Center is located at 76 Sherman St. on the beautiful campus of Hartford International University nestled in the historic west end of Hartford CT. Our space offers a labyrinth directly behind our offices as well as a beautiful watershed natural space for outdoor contemplative exploration. We share space with the Center for Transformative Spirituality.
Land Use Acknowledgement
We acknowledge the land that the Spiritual Life Center is situated on is the ancestral home of the Tunxis, Wangunk, and Sicaog peoples who were the dwellers and caretakers of this sacred land at the time of Conquest. We acknowledge their continued connection to this region, the harms of conquest and genocide, and the continued existence of Indigenous nations in spite of the injustices done. We stand in support of the claims to justice of Indigenous peoples and all oppressed people.
