Soul Matters : A Spiritual Companions Journey Group

Soul Matters Fall 2026 is a four-month contemplative journey designed for SLC Spiritual Companions seeking to nurture their inner life within an intentional community. From October through January, participants will explore essential dimensions of the spiritual journey—such as “Paying Attention, Embracing Possibility and Wonder,” blending solitary reflection with communal wisdom.


Each month, you receive a rich, curated packet of contemplative exercises, evocative questions, poetry, meditations, and multimedia resources centered on a core spiritual theme. Designed to honor your personal rhythms, this self-guided format allows you to engage deeply with the practices, readings, and questions that


At the heart of the program are monthly two-hour gatherings dedicated to deep listening, authentic reflection, and shared discernment. Meeting as equals with no lectures or rigid agendas, the circle serves as a sacred container to process lived experiences, harvest collective insights, and witness one another's spiritual growth.



Program Details


  • Cohort Size: Small, intimate circles of up to 6

        participants, held by a trained facilitator.

  • Duration & Commitment: 4 monthly, 2-hour

        sessions (October–January 2027).

  • Format Options: In-person and Zoom cohorts

        are available to accommodate your location and

        scheduling needs. (See Below)


There are limited openings for each group, so you are encouraged to sign up now for Soul Matters Fall 2026. Sign-up deadlines vary for each Group.

Soul Matters Reflections:


Soul Matters has jump-started my spiritual journey.  It’s not a spiritual practice as much as an invitation to experience, in the everyday rhythms of life, the joy, reverence, and mystery of being in relationship with the Divine. And the opportunity to hear and respond to the experiences of the other participants in my group deepened the impact of the program.  The old adage "you don't know what you don't know"  is certainly applicable here;  I had no idea that such an accessible, engaging program could have such a profound impact on my own spiritual journey and my calling as a spiritual companion.

I was initially reticent to join this group, which is my usual stance with something new. Yet I was curious and decided to follow a new path with curiosity as my guide. What remains with me is that Soul Matters provided the material and the space for me (us) to be present to one another to explore aspects of spirit and life together. It's a great vehicle for members of the Spiritual Life Center to use to grow together.
