The Tree and the Web of Life: A Druidic Exploration of Natural Cosmology
Monday 10/13
7:00 PM - 8:30 PM
Via Zoom with Fern Lickfield
Druidry is an ancient and evolving Celtic spiritual path that brings us in direct contact with the numinous in Nature. We learn to access Spirit through our intimate relationship to the Earth and through our pulsing, breathing bodies. Within the Druidic tradition, the Divine is not up in a far-away Heaven. She is immanent, within and around us.
As within, so without. As above, so below. The tree and the web are two of the most ancient and central keys to understanding our sacred relationship with life. In
physical reality and as energetic symbols, they represent the vertical and horizontal directions of connection to and through the realms. When we tap into these levels of awareness through meditation, breath, and visualization, we gain access to profound states of being and healing. We realize we are never alone.
Do you feel drawn to connect more deeply with the Earth? Whether you live in a forest or a city, and whether or not you are of Celtic ancestry, join us for this introduction to Druid cosmology. It will tap a universal chord of remembrance, for we are all children of one Mother, the Earth.
“The Tree & The Web of Life” is presented in collaboration with and supported by HIU’s Center for Transformative Spirituality.
