Cosmic Shifts Book Group: "Honest Advent" by Scott Erickson

Tuesdays 12/2 - 12/23

6:30 Pm - 8:15 PM

Via Zoom with Linda Choser and Courtney Canfijn

Join Cosmic Shifts to read Honest Advent: Awakening to the Wonder of God-with-Us Then, Here, and Now, a book from celebrated artist and storyteller Scott Erickson. Together, we’ll experience 25 days of illustrations and meditations that will help us rekindle the wonder of this season.

Through powerful benedictions, prayers, and questions for honest

reflection, we'll discover how the wonder of God-with-Us is still

happening today: in our unexpected change of plans, our unaccomplished dreams, our overcrowded lodging, and our humble

stories of new beginnings.

In a world that's difficult to make sense of, and a season that's so often overtaken by consumerism, we'll find heart-stirring illustrations and

thought-provoking meditations designed to show us the raw, powerfully

sacred story of Christmas in a new light.

The Cosmic Shifts Book Group engages in books that offer different

approaches to spirituality that will foster deep conversations in a non-

judgmental setting. Join Linda Choser and Courtney Canjfin for a

book circle with a free-flowing format that will engage your mind and

spirit. Prepare to be spiritually stretched!

"Reading this book with my family has helped renew in me a sense of wonder not only in relation to the Christmas story, but also in relation to the everyday mess of being a human being."
