Kelly Mehiel

People, food, health & creativity have always been my passions, personally and professionally. Which has led me to learn about and be certified as a health coach and a yoga instructor prior to attending Portland Seminary which I graduated in 2022 with an MDiv. From there I joined the internship program with Spiritual Life Center, graduating in 2024. Directly after completing the Internship program I also completed and graduated from the supervisor program at SLC. So although I am a relatively new spiritual director I bring a lot of life experience to the role. I am drawn to jobs and projects that require on-the-feet and creative thinking and a personal touch. As such, I have found that effective communication is always key to success. This idea of both communication and listening is something that is very important to me and has landed in new ways through my travels throughout Europe, the Mediterranean, Israel and even here in the U.S. I have come to realize that even if you don’t speak the same language, there are ideals and values that are universal.
