Communal Drum
Winter Solstice Potluck
&Fire Pit
Saturday 12/20 2:00 Pm - 4:00 Pm
at the Spiritual Life Center at 76 Sherman St in the West End of Hartford
(This is a recurring community event)
Change of Time: Drum starts at 2:00 PM
The Winter Solstice reminds us of the ever-changing cycles of nature and life. Communal Drum connects deeply with these rhythms in a personal, meaningful way.
Join us on December 20 as we honor the Hibernal Solstice, bidding farewell to the longest night and welcoming the slow return of the sun. Let us remember the light that shines within each of us that connects us to the Sacred, promising renewal and hope.
Communal Drum will be held one hour earlier, from 2:00 PM - 4:00 PM. The potluck will follow! Please bring a dish to share as we break bread and share food with the folks from Wild Sanctuary* and gather at the firepit outside to share stories and fellowship.
*Wild Sanctuary is a group led by Lisa Dahill and sponsored by HIU's Center for Transformative Spirituality and The Gaian Way, which celebrates a new circle of earth love and spiritual immersion in the world.
Cost: Suggested donation of $15
