How long is someone in spiritual direction?
For some people, the spiritual relationship is for a short time – six months or a year as one discerns or seeks to discover a path to follow or a decision to be made. For others it is a long term relationship that last for years as it supports and challenges one’s spiritual growth and development. In either case, the spiritual director and the directee mutually agree to continue or to bring the relationship to closure.
